The company gives away £45,000 to help staff deal with inflation

Emerys Timber and Builders Merchants is a construction and building products firm established in England.

In a world where employers often exclude people from profit sharing, some organizations set a good example by practicing ethical profit sharing.

Emerys Timber and Builders Merchants, a company established in England that specializes in construction and building materials, appears to be one such company.

In response to growing inflation and fuel prices in the United Kingdom, the company offered a 750-pound bonus for all 60 employees (approximately Rs 74,000). This will cost the corporation 45,000 pounds in total (approximately Rs 44 lakh).

“We looked at this late last year when we were looking at pay hikes and believed we needed to offer workers a substantial raise because of inflation,” the company’s managing director, James Hipkins, told the Stoke Sentinel. Given the present state of affairs, I thought it would be good to give them a little push.”
The company tweeted about the announcement, saying, “Due to rising fuel/petrol and electricity/gas costs, we have decided to pay £750 to EVERY Emery’s employee. We hope this goes a long way to helping our team during an uncertain financial time.” Emerys, like a family, looks out for one another through difficult times!”
Even though the bonus sum is not as significant as other giant corporations offer, this gesture moves individuals. A Twitter user praised this move, writing, “Superb job by Emerys… “Well done.”
