Biggest bird in the world!

Ostriches are massive, flightless birds with high legs and protruding necks of a spherical body. Males have striking black-and-white pigmentation, which they employ to attract females. Females, on the other hand, have a light brown coloration. Ostriches are the largest birds on the planet. According to the African Wildlife Foundation, ostriches can grow to be 9 feet tall plus weigh up to 320 pounds. Their eyes are the longest of any land animal, measuring 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter. The unique bird with two toes on each foot is the ostrich. According to the American Ostrich Association, all other birds have three or four toes. Ostriches reside in Africa’s arid, scorching savannas and woods. According to the University, wild ostriches previously ranged all over Asia, Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula, but due to overhunting, their range has been confined to Sub-Saharan Africa. Ostriches, on the other hand, can be found in captivity all over the world. Ostriches are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and meat. According to the San Diego Zoo, they like plants, particularly roots, seeds, and leaves, although they also consume locusts, lizards, snakes, and rodents. They also consume sand and stones to aid in the grinding of their food inside their gizzard, which is a tiny pouch where food is crushed and shredded up before reaching the stomach. Ostriches do not need to drink water because they obtain all of their water from the plants they consume. They do, however, drink if they come to a watering hole. A male ostrich (pictured on the right wooing a female) will conduct a short dance in which he crouches down and alternately brings his black-and-white wings forward, one after the other, to attract a female.
