The media plays a vital role in our lives today. It touches all facets of our lives. Therefore it is important to understand the impact it has on our lives – social, corporate, personal, and spiritual. To understand this relationship, a talk on ‘The Portrayal of children in the media’ by media professional and children’s Author Monarose Sheila Pereira was recently conducted at the ‘Meet the Media Veterans’ talk series for the Instructional Media Centre at Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Author Monarose Sheila Pereira has worked in various media facets like print, radio, and television. She is also a media professor in various reputed graduate and post-graduate institutes. She has published several books for children and is hailed as India’s Enid Blyton. She has also published two textbooks for the Bachelor of Mass Media course. Many professionals appreciate her vast media experience and knowledge.
