Bharti Singh stated that she disliked returning home since her mother usually worked on a sewing machine to make ends meet.
Bharti Singh has managed to bring laughter and pleasure all across the world throughout the years. However, few people are aware that the comedienne grew up in abject poverty. During an interview with Maniesh Paul on his podcast, the ‘laughing queen’ discussed instances when they didn’t have food at home. She also said that her family is still unaccustomed to a luxurious lifestyle. Bharti explained that although her brother worked in a business, her sister and mother worked in a factory sewing blankets.
Her mother also looked at other people’s houses. They would even work at their house on occasion, and seeing all the large blankets, Bharti did not want to stay at home. “Ghar Jaane ka Mann Nahi Karta that” (I didn’t want to go home).
