Tamil Nadu’s lockdown has been extended until July 31.

The Tamil Nadu government prolonged the state's Covid-19-imposed lockdown until June 31 over concerns about the third wave of coronavirus.

Teachers are permitted to attend schools to perform admissions, textbook distribution, and other administrative tasks. According to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, only 50 people would be permitted to attend weddings, and 20 people will be allowed to participate in funerals.

On the other hand, Relaxations have been implemented for ITIs, industrial schools, and type-writing schools. On a rotating basis, these institutions can operate with 50% student capacity. Teachers can visit schools to help with admissions and textbook distribution.
