Valvoline Cummins Pvt Ltd has partnered with NGO Habitat for Humanity India to support the vulnerable families affected by COVID-19 and to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure overburdened by the pandemic.
The partnership will help housing non-profit Habitat for Humanity India set up a 100 bed COVID-19 Care Centre (called Habitat Care Centre) in Dubey Hospital located in Ambernath, Thane district Maharashtra. Additionally, 27 oxygen concentrators, 593 PPE kits, 200 Hygiene kits will be provided to the hospital.
In lines with the partnership, 10 Oxygen concentrators, 2 thermal scanners, 9 oximeters and 1070 PPE Kits were provided to the Civil Hospital in Sonipat while 15 cardiac monitors (5 parameter) and 136 PPE Kits were provided to the Civil Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana. This initiative will help boost Habitat for Humanity India’s Road to Recovery 2.0 campaign aimed at building resilient communities.

Ltd., Mr. Gaurav Dang, Director Finance-Asia Valvoline, Mr. Jugvinder Pal Singh Bhatia, Finance Controller, Mr. Avneesh Chopra, Head Legal and Compliance, Valvoline Cummins Pvt Ltd along with Dr. Rajan Samuel, Managing Director Habitat for Humanity India handed over the essential medical equipment to Dr. Virendra Yadav (MBBS, MD), Civil Surgeon Gurgaon in a ceremony in a recent ceremony.

Since March 2020, Habitat India has responded to COVID-19 pandemic through its Road to Recovery programmatic strategy, by supporting the vulnerable communities with Hygiene Kits, Family Essential Kits, Conditional Cash Transfers, Behavior Change Communication and by setting up Habitat Care Centres impacting 13,27,076 people.
On 26th April 2021, Habitat India launched Road to Recovery 2.0 to respond to the deadly second wave of COVID-19. We have supported 1,07,124 people in the second wave with the provision of Family Essential Kits, Hygiene Kits and by ramping up our efforts of establishing Habitat Care Centres.
