Canada – most loved country

For the first time, Canada tops the 2021 Best Countries Report, a ranking and analytical effort by U.S. News, a global marketing communications company VMLY&R, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. The algorithm that drives this report has evolved this year in response to a transformative year since the commencement of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cultural, economic, political, and technological aspects continue to be significant, and two new categories have been added: social purpose and agility. This diverse set of variables influences how the 78 countries analyzed are ranked in the global arena. “How nations are seen globally impacts many vital fronts, ranging from foreign relations to international business to tourism. In a fast-changing world, these impressions are always altering, “Kim Castro, editor and chief content officer at U.S. News agreed. “The 2021 Best Countries research mixes statistics and storytelling to investigate how countries rank on a wide range of global concerns.” For the first time, Canada is ranked first overall. Japan and Germany finish second and third, respectively, while Switzerland, the previous top overall country, drops to fourth. Australia remains the fifth most populous country globally, followed by the United States, which moves up one spot to sixth place overall. Canada is ranked first in terms of quality of life and social purpose. It is also seen to have a strong labor market, care about human rights, and be committed to social equity.
Furthermore, the nation stood front in terms of not being corrupt and respecting property rights. Women are regarded as capable leaders. Eighty-three percent of global citizens say the world is currently experiencing a leadership crisis. Women leaders are viewed positively by most respondents, with 68 percent agreeing that women-led countries are better managed.
