Juliette Pryor, Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel for the Albertsons Companies will be the keynote speaker on the Greenberg Traurig
NEW YORK, June 2, 2021 Juliette Pryor, Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel for the Albertsons Companies will be the keynote speaker on the Greenberg Traurig, LLP Courageous Conversation webinar – A “Look Back”: A Year Since George Floyd set for June 2, 2021 from 3 to 4 p.m. ET.
Pryor will talk about her experiences individually and as a leader in the past year since George Floyd’s death. She will also discuss where we “go” from here to achieve equity and discuss what challenges might lay ahead. The global law firm’s Co-President Ernest L. Greer will provide opening remarks to the online discussion. Firm Shareholder and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Nikki Lewis Simon will moderate.
The Courageous Conversations webinars are a presentation of the firm’s Social Justice Action Academy, a key element of Greenberg Traurig’s Social, Racial, Economic Justice Plan. The academy aims to educate attorneys, business staff and the broader community on matters of race, justice, and equity. By facilitating and encouraging conversations about these topics, the goal is to drive forward meaningful change consistent with the firm’s action plan.
Pryor was named EVP and General Counsel for the Albertsons Companies in June of 2020. Before that, she served as the General Counsel of Cox Enterprises. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at US Foods, including serving as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Before that, Pryor was at the law firm Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. She had previously been General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for e.spire Communications, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed telecommunications company. Earlier in her career, she served as legal advisor to the Vice Chairman of the U.S. International Trade Commission and as in-house counsel at IBM Corporation. Pryor received a B.A. from Fisk University and a J.D. from Georgetown University, where she also received a M.S. from the school of foreign service.
