Pranay Anand opens up about his Journey of Digital Content Creation
Pranay Anand, a Delhi based content creator who loves to play with ideas revolving around fashion, lifestyle, and self-development. Along with that, I am a Data Scientist and enjoy producing music when I am not working. ( LinkedInProfile ) On our journey, I used to enjoy photography as a hobby. Slowly I started to explore more and came across the concept of digital content creation. I started learning image and video editing, going about searching for designs and ideas on Pinterest. (Now I get more 100k+ monthly unique visitors)
Then I got a side push when I observed that often my friends used to consult me for clothing and grooming. That’s when I realized my knowledge and potential and hence, went ahead with this very niche of fashion, lifestyle, and self-development! A started with a tiny audience, mostly my known ones. I kept learning about dif erent social media platforms used to gather feedbacks regarding my content, and now we have a community spread across India, consisting of men who are willing to grow and redefine their personality. Our family Currently, I am a one-person army.
I come up with ideas, execute, edit photos, and videos on my own. And yes, engage and analyze the performance, and that’s something most of us forget. What’s in the name? I believe there is the style in everything, one needs the right lens to see it and what’s better than our own eyes. Hence the name, thatvoguelens. In our mission statement, I am always up for creative and unique ideas to work on and deliver the best to attract the potential audience. And I was then helping out in self-development through style in a personalized way such that it leaves an impact in the other person’s mind. I would say that creativity is my USP, and the statement I always follow is that confidence is the best currency one could own.
Do we create content for? I create content for young men while focusing on Tier 2 and 3 cities of India. They are the ones who have comparatively less access to resources. I want to make the time spent on social media, worth it. Aaye ho toh kuchh seekh ke hi jao. I mention styling, communication tips, daily habits, which eventually develops a better lifestyle directly impacting one’s confidence and personality. And yes, most of my content has a humor bite, which makes the person remember the point being made. I had to drop cold drink, ketchup, and whatnot on my clothing and styling it at the same time. It had great fun while shooting the video with my friend/photographer Bhim. We work with… I always research about the approaching brand, in and out. If I can relate or adapt it to my life, I introduce it to my audience in the best manner possible while putting out the brand’s actual values. I recently worked with Nokia, Fabindia, Myntra, Celio, and Peter England. Some International brands include Tiege Hanley, Daniel Wellington, Victorinox. We are proud of… My favorite would be the one I created using a skincare kit from Tiege Hanley.
While shooting, I just went about throwing up the products in the air. It was random. While I was editing the image, I came up with this idea of introducing aliens and UFOs. This helped me portray that the skincare kit was so amazing, even the aliens couldn’t resist. Standing with people around you and making the drink fall over the shirt instead of the mouth. I was so severely judged there. Such an embarrassing yet fun moment it was. We deal with trolls by… People often troll me by calling me a doppelganger of Arjun Kapoor. Well, I make them realize it’s the opposite! So, in general, I tackle them with humor. Our favorite creators are… One of my favorite creators is Quyen Mike. His vision and concepts are what inspire me. DevanOnDeck creates some amazing content too!
