The situation in Bengal is a manifestation of the ruler’s law…’:

Bengal: Thousands of its residents have been murdered, raped, forced to flee their homes, and intimidated. We might spell the end of democracy in this beautiful country.

The National Human Rights Commission delivers its final report on post-election violence.

The situation in West Bengal is a manifestation of the ruler’s law rather than the rule of law, according to the NHRC’s final report. According to the National Human Rights Commission, the whole government apparatus is employed to advance the political objectives of the ruling party. Thousands of its residents have been murdered, raped, forced to flee their homes, and intimidated. We might spell the end of democracy in this beautiful country.

The NHRC, which was established to investigate alleged post-election violence in West Bengal, has delivered its final report to the Calcutta High Court. The Court has taken notice of the information and has scheduled a hearing on July 22. The 50-page study seen by Times Now described the situation in West Bengal as a manifestation of the ruler’s law rather than the rule of law.

On July 2, the Calcutta High Court made similar findings, stating that the state administration was in denial about the violence that erupted in May when the polls were called off. It went on to say that there was adequate evidence to show that post-poll violence had occurred. The NHRC expressed its harshest condemnation of the post-poll violence in Bengal, citing Rabindra Nath Tagore’s poem “Where the mind is without fear.”

Ironically, thousands of state subjects have witnessed murder, rape, relocation, and intimidation in the last few months in Tagore’s homeland, “where the mind is fearless, and the head is held high; where the universe has not been split up into bits by small household walls,” it added. According to the study, the sickness might spread to neighboring states if it is not stopped, called a “worrisome trend.”
